We've seen a rush of recent panic and hysteria about the possibility, likelihood or other about a coronavirus epidemic.
But before we hurtle headlong into a cycle of hysteria, stockpiling essentials and self isolation, step back.
Of course we should all take advice of the best, most sensible up to date advice.
But don’t forget, that as well as the elderly and those with underlying health issues, there are many more are at increased risk.

Finally, most of us have elderly relatives, friends and neighbours who are at potentially greater risk.
My aunt is 96, her best friend is 86, they both have underlying health conditions, as most of us do at some stage or another during our lives, and both live on their own. They are both courageous and feisty. We don’t need hate speech from people like Jeremy Warner writing in the Daily Telegraph (see picture) that ‘COVID-19 might even prove mildly beneficial in the long term by disproportionately culling elderly dependents.’
